The Paladin Rally Team has had a busy week Friday and Saturday was Rally New York. The Paladin Team set out to shake out any remaining bugs that the new car, Eve, might have. With nothing more to worry about than a loose water spray switch, driver Matt Iorio was free to practice the fast Tarmac Stages. Rally NY marks the first full tarmac national rally in the United States. Many of the competitors have overseas tarmac experience. The team took home a fifth place finish. Monday was a gravel test session. Driver and crew suggested different suspension settings to try, and then put them into action. The test session was also a chance for avis Paladin fans to take a ride in the Open Class Impreza. The testing took place At Apple Knoll Farm, the home of driver Matt Iorio’s parents. On a Limb Photography was also present to chronicle the small adventure. “I’m just glad I didn’t break the car at Rally NY, and especially at my parent’s house. That would have been unbearably embarrassing.” Next week the team leaves for Oregon Trail Rally. Playboy Playmate Miss April 2002 Heather Carolin will be at the Portland International Raceway for an autograph session, as well as taking some private pictures with the Paladin car. More on this later. Also, the incar video of Team Paladin at Oregon Trail will be available online on the race day.
