Paladin Rally Enters 2006 with a Bang! |

Paladin Rally driver Matt Iorio went from Hero to Zero in a roll at the Sno*Drift Rally this past weekend. |
After leading the race for the first few stages a flat Nokian RSI cost Iorio over a minute. Iorio was rushing to make up time when on stage five an obviously icy Right 3 was about as slick as you’d expect it to be. The Paladin car, Dannii, climbed a few inches up the outside bank late in the turn, and fell prey to recent logging activity. The frozen stumps rotated Dannii, and flipped her and her two occupants, sideways into the road. Co-Driver Ole Holter was also in the car. “That’s not at all like in the movies” an embarrassed Iorio was heard saying, “In the movies adversity always leads to overwhelming success!” On a positive note, Paladin Rally will be free to reallocate the time that would have been spent going to Rally Perce Niege on getting a car race-worthy. Eve is scheduled to debut at 100 Acre Wood in Salem, Missouri, the next event in the Rally America Championship. Dannii Prototype is scheduled to debut at STPR. | |
