Right then! It looks like I've finished the 2005 season. Let's put it in perspective, I started 16 rallies, and finished 14. I wrecked 1 car (poor Kylie is going to need a reshell too) and crashed atleast 5 times. I raced 4 different cars, two Subarus, a Mitsubishi, and a Volkswagen. I finished 3rd in the Rally America Series, 3rd in the CARS Series, and 2nd in the USRC series. I haven't seen it officially but I'm pretty sure I'm top driver in the North American Rally Cup. I set my first Fastest times in any National Rally at Baie Des Chaleurs. Not once has it been mentioned that I was 2004 Rookie of the Year. Going into 2006, I'm looking foward to the steep open class competition that is expected. I have little doubt that open class will emerge as the dominant class at rallies once again. Without being too beligerant about it, I look foward to crushing my opposition in the tight fist of my driving glove Paladin Rally is working on building 2 open class Rally Cars in order to be able to fufill the ambitious schedual proposed bt the team Principle. Both will be based on the 2 door Subaru Impreza. The team hopes to build nimble and powerfull cars with are most importantly reliable. Tested and superior components will be brought toghter, excluding exorbitantly expensive and exotic bits, to reduce costs and increase reliability. The project is admitantly ambitious, concitering the Paladin car building crew, consisting of Matt Iorio and Phil Ho, have never built a car before. But, if you've been folowing the team wou shoud know that everything Paladin Rally has attempted has been rediculously overreaching. Also in the works is a newly stepped up marketing program. I'm not sure where it's stepping up to, The cost of rally seems to pretty consistantly double the exposure value, and however much you want to argue that rally brings legitimacy to a brand, it ain't worth that much. At best, just being hardcore pays for a quarter fo the season. But that does sound official right?, "newly stepped up marketing program." this is the exact puzzel that will float US rally, how to either cut costs in half, or double exposure. That's kind of like the "What is the meaning of life?" for rally, except a lot more difficult. (preserve life) The high cost of rally is exactly why the big teams never seem to last long, in the US, and in the world rally scene. On a final note the numbers of fans and visitors has been growing exponentially. Thanks to everyone who enjoys what we do. |

However, Rally is a wonderfull humbler of the brash, and there can be no champaign without a butload of toil.
