Perce Neige 05 Conclusion |

| | Wednesday, March 16, 2005 - Paladin Rally brought home a fourth place finish at Perce Neige over the weekend. The event was exceptional. The hospitality of Maniwaki, the wild in-town stages, and the 50k stage combined to make Pirce Neige once again a memorable event.
My driving, though quick, was very conservative. I was expecting every corner to be ice, and when that corner wasn't, I thoulght the next one must be. Most of the long stages were a hard compacted snow, with only two icy corners which I can remember. So, while I'm not to thrilled with my defensive driving, I am psyched that the car ran beautifuly, the team rose to every challange, not letting a myriad of electrical problems topple us. The trunk springs unwound on an icy HUDGE yump, but that didn't stop us. And Kylie is home now, unscathed except for where the trunk slammed closed.
As a final note, there was a 10 minute gap between the four of us up front and the next competitor. The three guys in front of me beat me fair and squair, and all I can do is piss and moan about it, but they were really damn fast, and clean enough not to get caught. What would it be in French, "Bon Rallye"?
