just wanted to share the thing that I've been working on. You are
looking at my differential controller. Yes, you read that
right. Total cost? $8.00 at Radio Shack. What is in that
bundle of electrical tape? A couple of potentiometers or
something. Ole told me how to do it, unfortunately he's in New
York, so the first one of these that I made fried. Yup, cooked on
my dash board. Why on my dash board? Because that angry
little fellow plugs into my wiring harness right where my my old DCDC
controller used to. Why? Well, we just popped in an new
Autronic ECU (both of the girls only seem to run right on ECU's from
Australia) and the engine runs great, but the Autronic doesn't control
the differential like the Pectel used to. Viola, I'm driving a
rear wheel drive Sube. Fun sure, but I'll lose tons of time
exiting corners. So, as long as that little bugger is angry
enough, he should give voltage to the center diff and lock her
down. Well, if you ask me he looks pissed. So remember, if
you're in New York, and if you're at the beach, or if you're damn near
anywhere, you don't want to mess with the angry octopus! |
