Re:2006 Oregon Trail Rally UPDATES - 2006/04/27 13:44 So is Eve going to be running the next race, or will Deepii be done?

Re:2006 Oregon Trail Rally UPDATES - 2006/04/28 10:31 Deepii was on schedual to be done well before STPR. Then she went to the body shop. that was 2 weeks ago. Now I'm at the mercy of someone who is in the buisness of doing the Insurance company's bidding. She will get done for STPR, but no thanks to the body guys.

I just got my Jeep back from a body shop. For just under a week it was "In the paint shop"

Reason for DNF - 2006/04/28 11:18 The DL. Here's the reason for the DNF at OT. The Turbo brackets broke. then the vibrations of the turbo and engine rubbed the return line against the oil feed fitting. It rubbed a hole, and we lost oil. it wasn't on the pressure side, so we didn't loose oil in too atomized a manner, but it still went. That spot is totally impossible to get to without taking off the turbo. Shit!

So how exactly do you pronounce "Deepii"?

Re:2006 Oregon Trail Rally UPDATES - 2006/04/29 12:38 I think he said it while we were at the testing session, and he called her "dee-pee" but I could be mistaken...

Re:2006 Oregon Trail Rally UPDATES - 2006/04/30 13:38 Exactly, Dee-pee. Spelled Deepii. And, to get a little deeper into her backstory, it was origionally DPii, meaning "Dannii Prototype 2". The ii comes from the way Dannii Minogue spells her name (or rather the name that was given to her)

I was planning on reshelling Dannii (the vermont sportscar built car that belonged to Ramana) a few months ago, just because I knew the shell would split apart in another hard impact (whitch it pretty much did).

Deepii turned out to be less of a reshell than a new project altoghter, but the name stuck. Anyway, it's depressing to see the old Dannii's busted shell on the shop floor, so i like to pretend that she lives again in Deepii. Yea, it's pretty stupid, but whatever floats my boat right...
