Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/08 17:26 I was 000 car at the end of Stage 9 and saw everything first hand, including pulling Burke's car from the stage and Doug and Matt's little tiff, everyone else's reactions, etc.

Unfortunately, due to politics, I was essentially told to say quiet about the entire process, including the ruling. But, I can tell you about it sometime if you like.

Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/08 17:36 Also, did anyone get this video on tape/computer? I do not know anyone who has OLN, so I will not be able to see it otherwise.

I will contact Rally America to see if they are planning on selling DVD's on the broadcasts.

Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/08 19:37 While towing Matt Johnston out to Maine I was told the basics of the incident, but he was far enough back in the pack that he didn't see anything but got his info second hand. He said the red cross was never thrown, but a jeep was on the road and had pulled Seamus to the side enough for cars to pass through, effectively canceling the stage since a non competitive vehical was on, but not officially at the time. I'd love to hear the full story if anyone can wishper it this way....

I've got the episode on VHS if you want to watch, postage there and back if its worth it to you?

Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/08 23:56 It was a Ford Explorer and unfortunately I was stuck in it all day because it had a built-in HAM radio. By saying I saw the entire incident, I meant that I was at the end of the stage as 000 and pulled Burke's car from blocking the road. There is actually a lot to the story, it is not extremely complex or mysterious, but the stage was cancelled for a variety of reasons.

I appreciate your offer to send me a VHS tape of the show, I'm going to burn it to DVD, if you would like a DVD copy in return. Send me a personal email by clicking on the little Profile guy below my posting status and I will send you my mailing address. If you send it to me UPS or USPS, and you want me to pay for shipping, I can send you a check or Paypal when I ship it back to you.

Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/09 14:11 The show was very good. I'l be curious to see what the rest of the rally comunity has to say about it. There was a slight lack of exciting footage, but that's mainly because the drivers wern't driving all that aggresivly, besides pat. Snow is pretty slow like that. I thoulght I sounded way better in my interview that I thoulght I would. Keep in mind they cut down 45 minutes of interview for that piece. I guess with that much to work with, thay could make bush sound good. Hmm, well maby not bush. I just hope people saw it, and liked it.

Re:Sno*Drift - 2005/10/10 13:52 I want to meet Bush, and when he goes to shake my hand, I'll run it through my hair. Oooh, what a diss!
