Re:New - 2007/09/05 05:32 Check out these sites...

That should give you an idea of what rally cars are for sale, and what they cost. There is a debate in another thread about what cars are suited for rally. any car can be driven in a rally, as long as it has the correct saftey equiptment. The best are usually small and powerfull.

Take a look at the links and let me know what rally car you could see yourself in.

It's really touch to find rally cars for under $5,000, but for your first car, that's the way to go. NEVER build your first rally car. it's a money pit, and in the end you probably won't end up racing. It usually takes so long, and if you do get to the first race, at tech the inspector finds something that won't let you start.

I think either car is great. As long as you're not stationed over seas, you could be racing at LSPR october 26th. If you want hemp purchasing and prepping, put an ad for a co driver on SpecialStage.com. I'm sure you could find someone with enough expierience to get you to the start line, and even help you wrench on the car.

With the cost of the car, remember to budget 200 Licence fees, 900 entry fees, and about 1500 for fuel to tow your car to the race and for hotels during the race.

What part of the country are you in?

Re:New - 2007/09/06 07:28 i am not stationed anywhere yet im in the USAF but waiting to leave for BMT i have sworn in and all and hold rank but i havnt left yet so im what they call a DEPer or someone in the Delayed Entry Program......

i dont plan on picking an overseas base im thinking of one in VA or FL but im currently in living in KY less than a mile from the KY speedway.

so dont build a car myself.....because i ahve a RX-7 lined up its a 91' might be trading a truck for it...

Re:New - 2007/09/07 10:37 Definitly don't try to build your first car. It's really tough to get it right the first time. Focus on figureing out how get entered in a rally first.

there are pictures of thge Sentra here... http://www.whiteknucklephotography.com/search.asp You might have to enter the car number, 722. I'm not sure why these sellers made it so damn difficult to looks at their cars.
