i also spent a good amount of time doing some homework trying to find a suitable platform that met the initial criteria for a new paladin car. it was fun at first, but it became quite frustrating. i was unable to come up with anything. i'm just glad it wasn't my decision to make in the end. although i would have never suggested an evo 7, i think it's a fantastic candidate.
the 4g63 is a tried and tested powerplant. i don't think you'll be dissapointed with it's capabilities. the market is huge and there's a lot of resources available.
although i appreciate bill's enthusiasm, i don't think we (tce) can do much more other than give you some ideas and some good places to look for parts. i don't think we're much better than any good DSM/evo person. we've got a few tricks up our sleeve, but it's nothing that's going to shake the foundations.
matt, i'm going to send you an email or a private message with some contacts for people you're going to want to get to know when you start building your car and looking for sponsors.
