Hello Matt; Ole's mom here. You got to keep an eye on that codriver. When he was 2 we were going to Hillsboro for the 4th of july in our 1935 Studebaker president limosine, black spares on front fenders, suicide doors. Mom and Pop and 5 kids all primed with Koolaid. Ole pipes up with "see, see, tique, tique. " (translated Antique Car in sight). Dad and I ingrained car hobby in the children early. Ole's bro Clarence rebuilt a Chev v-8 big block at the age of 8. Had to explain to Bill that he needed to learn something about cars since he would be driving one someday. He subscribed to "Car and Driver, Road and Track, and Automobile' these days he can be found at Oregon Trail and Rim, spectating and sometimes pit crew. or in front of TV when races are on. (all kinds). I will try to remember some more of our car events. We were heavy into old iron. '31 dodge, 24 Buick, 35 Stude, 31 packard etc. We were in the business of rebuilding late model wrecks once or twice a year. Also had a auto wrecking business, was a great place for kids to play. (the girls too).
