Shipping your transmission? - 2007/09/19 11:10 Hey Matt, I was wondering how you get your tranny's down to RalliSpec? Do you use a shipper, or do you just drive them down there?
Thanks!!

Re:Shipping your transmission? - 2007/09/19 11:28 Normaly I'll drive down. I can get down and back on a tank of gas, and most of the time I have more than 1 large item to pick up or drop off.

For shippers, I've found BAX to be the best for large freight items. One could overnight an engine across the country for 263.57, in the impossibly remote ocassion that one might need to do that , so shipping from Maine to New Jersey can't possibly be that bad.

Fedex Freight and DHL also will do it, but the former I don't feel is quite as timley as BAX, and the latter I've found to be about the equiuvelent of dumping your package in a river and hoping for the best.

Re:Shipping your transmission? - 2007/09/22 05:42 I'll probably end up driving down there, if it ends up going. I looked into BAX, the cheepest they wanted was like $330 one way. That's not as bad as I expected, but it's more than I want to spend on shipping. Besides, I have a friend in MD I need to go visit.
Let me know if I can bring anything down for you.
